Divine and Dependable Father,

Divine and Dependable Father, indeed, we’re thrilled and thankful for ushering us into the new month of April 2026. Indeed, we acknowledge that You give life to all (Nehemiah 9:6). Certainly, March 2026 had been a difficult month for many in our world! For the war between Iran and US-Israel partnership, has brought not only physical but also emotional sufferings to many. While we do not know how this war will end, yet we do know that You are in control. You are directing the affairs of all the nations in order to bring human history to its predicted end.

Our Lord Jesus spoke of the conditions of the world

Indeed, our Lord Jesus spoke of the conditions of the world just before the end of the age. He did so with great confidence and conviction of heart. This is because, He, like You, O Father, knows the end from the beginning. Our Lord Jesus declared: “And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of the birth pains” (Matthew 24:6-8; ESV).

Today, we are not just hearing of wars

Today, we are not just hearing of wars and rumors of wars, but are witnessing wars in our world. The Russian-Ukrainian war – which started in February 2022 is still on-going – with heavy casualties on both sides.  Following the escalation with Iran, Israel began a large scale ground and air operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Although a shaky, U.S. ceasefire has largely held in Gaza throughout March 2026, yet low-level clashes continue in the Gaza war between Israel and Hamas. Also, the civil war that began in Sudan in 2023 continues to devastate the country. In fact, the number of conflicts the world is experiencing is currently at its highest level in decades.

Divine and Dependable Father, without Your intervention…there’ll be no relief

Divine and Dependable Father, without Your intervention in our world; there will be no relief and respite for us. But thanks be to You, our God! Your intervention in human history through Your only begotten Son, assures us that there’ll be relief and respite for us. That’s, for those who are born-again and brought into a personal saving relationship with You, through faith alone in Jesus alone. Your promise to these saved ones is so special. “For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison” (2 Corinthians 4:18; NASB).  All the affliction believers endure in this sin-infested world will not be wasted. In Your grace and goodness, our momentary, light affliction is actually preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.

O Lord, how we praise and magnify You

O Lord, how we praise and magnify You for not wasting anything in the lives of Your believing children! Indeed, You have a purpose for everything You do or permit in our lives. You may choose to reveal Your purpose to us or You may not. This is Your sovereign prerogative. What’s important is that, whether You reveal Your purpose for what You permit or do in our lives, ours is to trust You. This is because Your purposes are good. Moreover, “we know that for those who love God all things work together for good” (Romans 8:28; ESV).

Because Your purposes are good and that You work all things for our good, we dedicate April 2026 to You. Please, Lord, accomplish what You have appointed for our families, friends, and us. For You are the God who performs what You appoint for us (see Job 23:14). “O God of Israel” (1 Kings 8:26), bring to pass Your best and beautiful blessings for Israel – Your cherished and chosen nation. Also, “Lord of glory” (1 Corinthians 2:8), carry out Your counsels and concerns for Your Church – Your consecrated and called-out people. As well, “Lord of all the earth,” (Joshua 3:11, 13), do what Your soul desires (see Job 23:13) for Your world. A world made up of all the nations and lands You created under the heavens!

O Divine and Dependable Father, we pray

O Divine and Dependable Father, we earnestly pray for the nation of Israel. Israel desperately needs Your visitation in grace in such a time as this. Not only is Israel at war with Iran, Lebanon’s Hezbollah and Gaza’s Hamas, she’s in a spiritual war within herself. Before Palm Sunday (March 29, 2026), a bill was introduced to outlaw Christians from telling others about Jesus in Israel. This is no surprise to You. Why? Because, it had happened before when the religious leaders gave strict orders to Your apostles not to continue teaching in Jesus’ name (see Acts 5:28; 40). The response of Your apostles then was: “We must obey God rather than men” (Acts 5:29; NASB). Even when they were later flogged and released with a stern order not to speak in the name of Jesus, they simply rejoiced. And “kept right on teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ” (Acts 5:42b; NASB).

O Lord…You revealed Your arm

O Lord, just as You revealed Your arm in sustaining and strengthening Your apostles then, so do for believers today. Should the proposed bill pass, it would present an opportunity for true born-again believers in Israel to experience Your visitation in grace. For You would once again reveal Your arm – making it known to all that no one can thwart Your divine purpose for Your Church. No one can derail her progress in Israel or elsewhere. No one can succeed in halting her advance. For Your Son, the Head of the Church declared: “You are Peter (Greek: Petros – a stone), and upon this rock (Greek: Petra – large rock, bedrock) I will build My Church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it” (Matthew 16:18; NASB).

God of Israel…Israel is at war

God of Israel, since Israel is at war, we pray for her in her wars! Oh that Israel today would learn from their past! For in the past, when Israel recognized that the battle belonged to You and raised a war cry, You routed their enemies. King Abijah of Judah and the men of Judah experienced this in their civil war with King Jeroboam of Israel.

The men of Judah raised a war cry

“Then the men of Judah raised a war cry, and when the men of Judah raised a war cry, then it was that God routed Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah…Abijah and his people defeated them with a great slaughter, so that 500,000 chosen men of Israel fell slain…The sons of Judah conquered because they trusted in the LORD, the God of their fathers” (2 Chronicles 13:15, 17-18; NASB). We therefore pray that Israel of today will recognize that the battle belongs to You. And raise a war cry – trusting in You, the God of their fathers, to fight the battle for them. For whenever You fight for Israel, victory is guaranteed for them.

Divine and Dependable Father, we also pray

Divine and Dependable Father, we also pray that Israel as a nation will rely on You, not on America. Whenever Israel chose to rely fully on You in their battles, You honored their reliance on You with resounding victories. King Asa of Judah experienced Your resounding victory when he wholly relied on You in his battle against a vast and valiant Ethiopian army. “Then Asa called to the LORD his God and said, “LORD, there is no one besides You to help in the battle between the powerful and those who have no strength; so help us, O LORD our God, for we trust in You, and in Your name have come against this multitude.

O LORD, You are our God

O LORD, You are our God; let not man prevail against You.” So the LORD routed the Ethiopians before Asa and before Judah, and the Ethiopians fled. Asa and the people who were with him pursued them as far as Gerar; and so many Ethiopians fell that they could not recover, for they were shattered before the LORD and before His army” (2 Chronicles 14:11-13; NASB). Oh, how Your heart yearns for present Israel to wholeheartedly rely on You in all their battles! For then, You would give them resounding victories in all their battles!

You are not at pleased when Israel chose to rely on man

Indeed, You are not at all pleased when Israel chose to rely on man. King Asa who completely relied on You when he faced a vast Ethiopian army, would later choose to rely on Aram (Syria) in his next battle (see 2 Chronicles 16:1-6). You sent a prophet to King Asa to rebuke him and reveal Your displeasure for relying on man, not on You.

At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa

“At that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said to him, “Because you relied on the king of Aram and have not relied on the LORD your God, therefore the army of the king of Aram has escaped out of your hand. Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubim an immense army with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet because you relied on the LORD, He delivered them into your hand. For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this. Indeed, from now on you will surely have wars”” (2 Chronicles 16:7-9; NASB). O LORD, God of Israel, we earnestly pray for Israel today. Please, deliver them from relying on America to rely on You, the LORD, their God, in all their battles!

Divine and Dependable Father, grant the nation of Israel relief from wars

Also, Divine and Dependable Father, grant the nation of Israel relief from wars. We are making this request of You because You granted relief from wars to Israel in the past (see 2 Chronicles 14:1, 5-7; 15:15). As well, we fervently pray that Your Spirit will enable Israel to return to the LORD their God that You may return to them. Throughout Israel’s history as a nation, You called them again and again to return to You.  One of Your calls to Israel to return to You came in the reign of King Hezekiah of Judah.

The couriers went throughout all Israel

The couriers went throughout all Israel and Judah with the letters from the hand of the king and his princes, even according to the command of the king, saying, “O sons of Israel, return to the LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that He may return to those of you who escaped and are left from the hand of the kings of Assyria. Do not be like your  fathers and your brothers, who were unfaithful to the LORD God of their fathers, so that He made them a horror, as you see” (2 Chronicles 30:6-7; NASB; cf. Jeremiah 3:12, 14; Hosea 6:1; 14:2; Joel 2:13).

Our earnest prayer for Israel during the Easter Season is

Also, our earnest prayer for Israel during the Easter Season is for the revelation of the true identity of Jesus Messiah. “O Holy One of Israel (Psalms 71:22), we pray that Your Holy Spirit will reveal to the people of Israel, who Jesus really is. Truly, only Your Spirit can remove the veil from their eyes to see Jesus Messiah for who He really is. As such, we plead with You and pray for them. Please, grant that Your Holy Spirit will accomplish this divine and distinguished work in the lives of the Jewish people. Not only in Israel, but in all the world.

Divine and Dependable Father, we lift up Your Church to You

And now, Divine and Dependable Father, we lift up Your Church to You in such a time as this. In this month of April 2026, Your Church will be celebrating the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Our Lord’s death is the greatest sacrifice ever made in human history. And His resurrection from the dead on the third day is the greatest victory You have won for us. As such, we rejoice in You, the Lord our God.

We confess that we must repent of our lukewarm ways

But, Lord, for Your Church to rejoice with exceeding joy, we confess that we must repent of our lukewarm ways. Not only that, Your Church needs Your gracious work of renewal and revival among us. As well, Your Church desperately needs the stirring up of our spirit to recommit ourselves to the Great Commission task.

We pray

Therefore, we pray that Your Holy Spirit will enable Your Church to repent of our lukewarm ways. We confess that, like the Church of Laodicea, Your Church today, is lukewarm – desperately needing repentance. The risen and glorified Christ minced no words in revealing the lukewarm state of the Church of Laodicea. “I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth…Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent” (Revelation 3:15-16, 19; NASB). Holy Spirit, grant that Your Church today will be zealous and repent of our lukewarm ways in such a time as this!

Divine and Dependable Father, we pray

Also, Divine and Dependable Father, we pray for Your gracious work of renewing and reviving Your Church today. King David missed the mark and needed Your gracious work of renewing a steadfast spirit within him (see Psalms 51:10). So also Your Church today has missed the mark and needed Your gracious work of renewing her spirit. As the prophet Jeremiah prayed, so also we pray for Your Church today. “Restore us to You, O LORD, that we may be restored; renew our days as of old” (Lamentations 5:21; NASB). Also, as the sons of Korah prayed for revival in their lives so also we pray for Your Church today. “Will You not Yourself revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You” (Psalms 85:6; NASB). O Lord, renew and revive Your Church today! For Your Church today needs fresh unction, fresh life, fresh passion, and fresh hunger for You Yourself.

We don’t know the exact day of our Lord’s return

Even though we don’t know the exact day of our Lord’s return (see Matthew 24:36), we do know that the end is near. This means, Your Church must be about Your business of sharing and spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. But we must confess to You that we are not fully invested in this business of our Father. We are preoccupied with other businesses of our own. Some in Your Church, are of the view that this business of sharing the gospel with others is only for pastors. As such, these simply lay back and watch pastors, preachers, missionaries and ministers carry on this business.

O Lord, Your Church needs Your work of stirring up our hearts

O Lord, Your Church today needs Your work of stirring up our hearts to recommit ourselves to Your Great Commission task. The Risen Lord declared: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you, and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20; NASB). The first believers did their part, resulting in a great harvest of souls. It is now our turn to do our part. So help us, O Lord, to do our part in our generation!

Lord of all the earth, we pray

And now, “Lord of all the earth (Joshua 3:11), we pray for Your world in such a time as this! We thank You for Your love for the people of this world. You so loved the world, that You gave Your only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Moreover, we thank You that You do not have any pleasure in the death of the wicked. But that he should turn from his way and live (see Ezekiel 18:23). Furthermore, You are patient, “not wishing any should perish, but that all should reach repentance” (2 Peter 3:9; ESV).

Divine and Dependable Father, we pray

Therefore, Divine and Dependable Father, we pray for Your world, that is, those who have not yet believed in Jesus Christ, so as to be saved. Please, grant that Your Holy Spirit will convict them concerning sin (see John 16:8). Concerning sin, because they do not believe in Jesus Christ (see John 16:9). Also, Lord, open their hearts to believe in the message of life and redemption in Jesus Christ (see Acts 16:14). As well, we pray that You will grant them the repentance that leads to life (see Acts 11:18)!

Divine and Dependable Father, may there be a harvest of souls

Divine and Dependable Father, may there be a harvest of souls, in this season of celebrating Christ’s death and resurrection! Indeed, it’s our prayer that “the word of the Lord will spread rapidly and be glorified” (2 Thessalonians 3:1b; NASB) among unbelievers. Yes, may Your word spread rapidly and be glorified in Your world in such a time as this. We pray all this, in the matchless and marvelous name of Jesus Christ. Your only Begotten Son! Our only Blessed Savior. Amen!
