Wise and Wonderful Father
And now, Wise and Wonderful Father, we pray for Your Church! With glad and grateful hearts, we praise You for Your overflowing grace into our lives in this passing year. Because of Your overflowing grace into our lives, You’ve shielded us from evil. Strengthened us when our strength was failing and flagging! Sustained us to run the race You’ve set before us in this year that’s passing away! Shown us Your lovingkindness that is better than life (see Psalms 63:3)! Strongly supported us when our heart was completely Yours (see 2 Chronicles 16:9)! Satisfied our desires with good things! Yes, because of Your overflowing grace, You’ve lovingly shepherded us and surrounded us with favor as with a shield (see Psalms 5:12b)! Indeed, You will continue to do what You’ve started to do in our lives from the beginning of this year.
Dear and Dependable Father
Lord, as we look back over the last ten months, we are reminded that You are working. Indeed, when our lives seemed out of control, because of the trials and troubles we encountered, You did not abandon Your Church. No! Not at all! Indeed, You did not fail us or forsake us! Rather, You were working Your plans for our lives. For Your promise to us is personal and precious. “For I know the plans that I have for you; declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11; NASB). Even, if You should allow further trials in our lives before this year ends, Your plans for us will remain unchanged.
Merciful and Marvelous Father
Merciful and Marvelous Father, because You are a forgiving God, we commit our cause to You in October 2025. You know its end from its beginning. Indeed, nothing will happen in this month without passing through Your hand. You, O Lord, will be orchestrating all the circumstances in our lives in October 2025 to accomplish Your divine purposes for our lives. Therefore, please, O Lord, accomplish what concerns our families, friends, and us in the new month of October 2025!
Good and Glorious Father
O Good and Glorious Father, we count on Your favor to abound upon our lives in this month of September 2025! Indeed, for without Your favor abounding upon our lives, our lives will be fruitless! Futile! Full of frustration! Even, a failure! Certainly, we know that when Your favor abounds upon our lives, we will experience Your victory in all our battles. We will be overcomers! We will taste the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living (see Psalm 27:13)! Yes, we will make a difference for the cause of Christ in such a time as this! Therefore, O Lord, make Your favor abound upon Your people in this month of September 2025.
Exalted and Esteemed Father
Since each one of us, will one day give an account to You, we must make the most of the time. Indeed, Your word exhorts us of the urgent need of “making the best use of the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:16; ESV). Yes, the days in which we live are evil. And yes, a day is fast approaching for us to stand before You to give an account of our lives to You.
Redeeming and Righteous Father
And now, O Lord, we lift up Your Church to You in such a time of this! Indeed, there is so much turmoil and trouble in our world. That’s why You want Your Church to represent and reflect You to a lost and dying world. Your Church represents and reflects You best when she is loving You and living for You! Longing for You and looking to You! Listening to You and leaning on You! Learning from You and laboring in Your harvest!
Genuine and Generous Father
We also pray that, Your Church today, will be sensitive and submissive to the leading of Your Spirit. For He, the Spirit of truth, alone guides Your Church into all the truth (John 16:13a). Not only that, He is the One who discloses to Your Church what is to come (John 16:13b). Furthermore, He has one and only one passion – to glorify Jesus Christ (John 16:14). O Lord, grant this request to Your Church today! For we are living in an age in which many in the ministry are seeking to make a name for themselves. Many are seeking their own glory, not the glory of Christ. But Your Church, who is sensitive and submissive to Your Spirit, has the one passion of Your Spirit! To glorify Jesus Christ! And Him alone!
Dear and Dependable Father
O Lord, the same power of Your Spirit that worked through the apostles is present with us today. The apostles did their part. It is now our turn to give our testimony to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. So, Lord, quicken Your Church to rise up to this all-important divine task! Impel Your Church to commit herself to a vibrant and victorious witness of Christ in such a time as this! And please, Lord, do it all, for the praise of Your name!
Blessed and Beloved Father
O Blessed and Beloved Father, who is like You among the gods of the nations, so caring as You? Indeed, we say, there is no one like You (see Isaiah 46:9b). Because of Your special care for us, You continue to give us “life and breath and all things” (Acts 17:25; NASB). Not only that, You have granted us life and lovingkindness; and Your care has preserved our spirit (see Job 10:12). But that’s not all. You have assured us of Your constant and complete care for us through Your Spirit’s inspired words in First Peter.
Faithful and Forbearing Father
Not only that, Your Church, urgently needs You to rekindle her passion for seeking and saving the lost. Yes, she pressingly needs You to reinvigorate her enthusiasm for sharing and spreading the gospel in such a time as this. Like Paul, we pray: “Woe is me if I do not preach the gospel” (2 Corinthians 9:16b; NASB). Please Father, by Your Spirit’s power, enable us to make the most of the opportunities You give us to share Christ. More importantly, make us faithful witnesses of Christ in our day – leaving the outcome of our witness to You.
