Faithful and Forgiving Father

Faithful and Forgiving Father, we adore and appreciate You for ushering into the new month of June 2026! Indeed, we thank You for being “a God of faithfulness and without injustice, righteous and upright [are You]” (Deuteronomy 32:4b; NASB). Thank You for dealing faithfully with us, even when we have acted wickedly (see Nehemiah 9:33b). Indeed, You are the God with “plans formed long ago, with perfect faithfulness” (Isaiah 25:1b; NASB). Not only that, we bless You for being “a God of forgiveness, gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness” (Nehemiah 9:17b; NASB).

Indeed, great O LORD is Your faithfulness to us

Indeed, great O LORD is Your faithfulness to us (see Lamentations 3:22)! Of a truth, if You were to mark our iniquities, O LORD, who could stand? [I know I could not stand in Your holy and awesome presence.] But there is forgiveness with You, so that You can be feared (Psalm 130:3-4). Therefore, we joyfully and jubilantly thank You for Your great faithfulness and gracious forgiveness demonstrated toward us in May 2026. And we are confident that we will experience Your great faithfulness and gracious forgiveness in the new month of June 2026.

O where would we be without Your faithfulness?

O where would be without Your faithfulness and forgiveness? What would our lives be like without Your faithfulness and forgiveness? Your faithfulness and forgiveness go hand in hand. For Your word says: “If we confess our sins, [You are] faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9; NASB). Oh, how truly blessed we are, to have a Father, who is so faithful and so forgiving. In fact, Your faithfulness is such that, if we are faithless, You remain faithful, for You cannot deny Yourself (see 2 Timothy 2:13). There is forgiveness with You, for You do not mark our iniquities.

Faithful and Forgiving Father, we give You thanks

Faithful and Forgiving Father, we give You thanks. For You what have planned concerning us will surely happen. As well, what You have purposed for our lives will stand. For Your word says: “As I have planned, so shall it be, and as I have purposed, so shall it stand” (Isaiah 14:24; ESV). Indeed, there is no one like You, “declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things which have not been done” (Isaiah 46:10a; NASB). It’s You who confidently declared: “My purpose will be established, and I will accomplish all My good pleasure” (Isaiah 46:10b; NASB).

You made Your believing people a blessed promise

Furthermore, You made Your believing people, a blessed promise regarding the word You speak to us. You promised us: “My word…which goes forth from My mouth;…will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it” (Isaiah 55:11; NASB). Such, is our God! Whatever You’ve planned shall surely happen. Whatever You’ve purposed shall stand. Indeed, You will most assuredly accomplish all Your good pleasure. And yes, Your word to us, will not fail nor falter. Rather, it will faithfully and finally succeed in the thing for which You sent it.

You are the God whose word succeeds in the thing for which You sent it

Because You are the God whose word succeeds in the thing for which You sent it, we gladly and gratefully commit our cause in June 2026 to You. Knowing that whatever You have planned concerning us in it, will stand. Moreover, we are fully assured that You will most undoubtedly accomplish all Your good pleasure concerning us in June 2026.

Faithful and Forgiving Father, accomplish what concerns…us

Therefore, Faithful and Forgiving Father, accomplish what concerns our families, friends and us. “O Holy One of Israel” (Psalm 71:22; ESV), bring to pass Your best and bountiful blessings which You have planned for Israel – Your chosen and cherished people. Also, Lord and Lover of the Church, carry out Your counsels and concerns for Your Church – Your consecrated and called-out people. As well, “God of the whole earth” (Isaiah 54:5; ESV), in June 2026, deliver on all Your desires and designs for Your world. A world, made up of all the countries and the coastlands You created under the heavens.

O Holy One of Israel, we pray for the nation of Israel

First of all, “O Holy One of Israel” (Psalm 71:22), we pray for the nation of Israel, Your chosen and cherished people. Indeed, Israel did not choose You. You chose them and cherished them as Your treasured people. Through Moses, the man of God, You made this clear to them before they ever entered into the Promised Land.

You are holy people to the LORD

“For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth. It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the LORD set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but it is because the LORD loves you and is keeping the oath that he swore to your fathers…” (Deuteronomy 7:6-8a; ESV).

O Faithful and Forgiving Father, Your love for the nation of Israel is tender

O Faithful and Forgiving Father, Your love for the nation of Israel is tender and touching; unceasing and unconditional. It’s a love that seeks Your very best for them, both in this life and in the life to come. Indeed, it’s a love that willingly and wholeheartedly chose to deliver them out of the house of slavery in Egypt. For You knew far in advance that they would fail You miserably in the Promised Land. And yet, because Your love for them is unceasing and unconditional, You brought them there anyway (see Deuteronomy 32:14-21). Truly, there is no God like You; so loving and so kind!

We pray that Israel will truly rely on You

In the light of Your unceasing and unconditional love for Israel, we pray that Israel will truly rely on You, their Lord and their God. That is, for Israel to fully depend on You, in every area of their lives as a nation under Your rule and reign. Your desire for Israel in times past, now, and in the future; is that she leans on You in truth. Often, in the past, Israel made the choice of relying on themselves (see Isaiah 22:8-11), on Egypt (see Isaiah 31:1), and Assyria (see 2 Kings 15:19-20; 2 Kings 16:7-8; Hosea 7:11). Indeed, the choice to rely on oneself or on others other than You, greatly displeases You.

We pray that Israel will faithfully rely on You

Therefore, we pray that Israel will faithfully rely on You in every area of their lives. In their worship, may they revere You alone, the only true God of universe. In their work, may they work in partnership with You. Also, in their wars, may they depend on You, who alone can give them resounding victory over their enemies. May they embrace in their hearts, the truth that You are the God who fights for them (Exodus 14:14; Joshua 23:3; 2 Chronicles 20:29; Nehemiah 4:20)!  In their walk with You, may they be guided by Your words of life and truth. May they cherish Your words of life and truth above all else! In their witness, may they reflect Your character.

Faithful and Forgiving Father, we pray that Israel will also return to You

Also, Faithful and Forgiving Father, we pray that Israel will also return to You. Today, Israel has deeply defected from You. Her desire for You Yourself is at an all-time low. Therefore, there is an urgent need for her to return to You. In fact, Your word repeatedly exhorts Israel to return to You. Return to Him from whom you have deeply defected, O sons of Israel” (Isaiah 31:6; NASB). If you will return, O Israel, declares the LORD, then you should return to Me(Jeremiah 4:1a; NASB).

Return to your God

“Therefore, return to your God, observe kindness and justice, and wait for your God continually” Hosea 12:6; NASB). “Yet even now, declares the LORD, ‘Return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting, weeping and mourning; and rend your heart and not your garments.’ Now return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger, abounding in lovingkindness and relenting of evil” (Joel 2:12-13; NASB). O God of Israel, we pray; may Israel of today, obey Your voice and return to You with all their heart!

O LORD, we pray for Your Church

And now, O LORD, we pray for Your Church in our generation. We thank You that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church (Ephesians 5:23). He is also the Savior of the body, that is, the Church (Ephesians 5:23). As well, He is the Lord of the Church (Ephesians 5:22). And Yes, He is the Lover of the Church, who “loved [us] and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma” (Ephesians 5:2; NASB). Moreover, Your only Begotten Son, is the One True Leader of the Church.  For He Himself said: “Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ (Matthew 23:10; NASB).

Faithful and Forgiving Father, Christ is the Lord

Indeed, Faithful and Forgiving Father, Christ is the Lord, Lover, Leader, and Head of the Church. Therefore, we pray that, through Your Spirit, Your Church will diligently promote Him. We live in an age of self-promotion. Sadly, Your Church has been influenced by the spirit of self-promotion that characterizes the people of the world. We promote our denomination as better than others. We elevate our doctrinal teachings above others. Also, we put down the practices of other denominations in order to promote ours as better than others. As well, we venerate our Moderators, Overseers, Chairmen, General Superintendents, Presiding Bishops, Archbishops, etc., as if they’re the Lord of the Church. We forget that there will be no denominational banners hoisted in heaven.

We focus on trivial matters

Instead of focusing on the Person of Jesus Christ and promoting Him and His saving message, we focus on trivial matters. O Father, forgive Your Church for failing to keep her eyes on Jesus Christ, and Him alone. Indeed, Christ alone must “have first place in everything” (Colossians 1:18b; NASB) in Your Church. So it was in the lives of Your early disciples. Christ was preeminent in their lives. Christ was their passion. As such, Christ was the One they promoted throughout their sojourn on earth. Oh grant that Jesus Christ will become preeminent in our lives! And that, Christ and Him alone, will be our passion. And may Your Holy Spirit bless us with a new sense of urgency in promoting Jesus Christ, for “He is Lord of all” (Acts 10:36b; NASB).

Also, we pray for Your Church

Also, we pray for Your Church to proclaim Jesus Christ of Nazareth in such a time as this. When Peter was directed by divine revelation to the house of Cornelius, it was Jesus of Nazareth, he pointed to and promoted (see Acts 10:38-43). Although, Peter had great and glorious experiences in his walk with God before coming to Cornelius’s house, he didn’t preach himself. No. Not at all. Rather, he proclaimed Jesus of Nazareth, His life, His death, and His resurrection. In fact, Paul and his fellow-workers’ motto in the ministry was stated in these words: “We proclaim Him” (Colossians 1:28a; NASB), that’s, Christ.

Faithful and Forgiving Father, it’s now the turn of Your Church today

Faithful and Forgiving Father, it’s now the turn of Your Church today, to proclaim Christ, and Him alone. For Christ is the answer for the world today. Christ “is indeed the Savior of the world” (John 4:42b; NASB). Indeed, salvation from sin is in Jesus alone. For Your word says: “There is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12; NASB). Furthermore, Jesus Himself declared: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me” (John 14:6; NASB). Therefore, we pray that Your Church today will not fail in proclaiming Christ to a lost and dying world.

God of all the whole earth, we pray for Your world

And now, “God of the whole earth” (Isaiah 54:5; ESV), we pray for Your world. That is, all those in all the nations, who have not yet believed in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins. Your word declares: “Behold, the day of the LORD is coming, cruel, with fury and burning anger, to make the land a desolation; and He will exterminate its sinners from it” (Isaiah 13:9; NASB)! It also says: “I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity. He will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud and abase the haughtiness of the ruthless (Isaiah 13:11; NASB).

These are not idle words

Indeed, these are not idle words to be brushed aside. Rather, they are words which the people of the world must take very seriously. For Your word, always succeeds in the thing for which You sent It (see Isaiah 55:11). But before punishing the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity, You give them opportunity to turn away from their wayward and wicked ways. This is because, You do not take pleasure in the death of sinners. You said it Yourself! “I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies, declares the Lord GOD. Therefore, repent and live” (Ezekiel 18:32; NASB).

Faithful and Forgiving Father, we pray for Your gracious work

Therefore, Faithful and Forgiving Father, we pray for Your gracious work of bringing unbelievers in Your world to genuine repentance. Please, grant them “also the repentance that leads to life” (Acts 11:18b; NASB). Loving God, we thank You that You are “not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9; NASB). Therefore, we pray for a turning among the people of the world, from their sins to the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ. May Your Holy Spirit grant them the “want-to” in their hearts to repent and live! May You Yourself open their hearts to respond to the message of Your messengers as You did in Lydia’s life (see Acts 16:14)!

O Faithful and Forgiving Father, we bless You

O Faithful and Forgiving Father, we bless You for being the God who hears prayer. Your word declares: “O You who hear prayer, to You all men come” (Psalm 65:2; NASB). We have come to You. We have called upon You on behalf of Israel, Your Church, and Your world. We are glad and grateful that You will “do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think” (Ephesians 3:20b; ESV). We pray all this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus of Nazareth! Your Beloved Son! Our Blessed Savior! Amen.
