Dear and Dependable Father
Dear and Dependable Father, to You be the glory for bringing us into the new month of November 2025. O how can we forget Your tender care and concern for us all throughout October 2025! You met all our needs. You extended Your kindness and mercy to us – though we did not deserve them. Yes, You also blessed us with Your presence and peace in the midst of the storms You permitted in our lives in October 2025. Indeed, You did all things well in our lives – even if there are things still difficult for us to understand. Truly, You deserve all the glory and honor for being our Dear and Dependable Father.
We are so blessed
Indeed, we are so blessed to have You as our Father – the dearest and most dependable Father. Yes, a Father who loves us unconditionally. Your love for us, always seeks Your very best for us, both in this life and in the life soon to come! Often, we confess that, our focus is only on this present life. As such, we long to experience and enjoy the blessings of this life. We forget that all the blessings of this life, cannot compare to the blessings of the life to come. For Your word reveals that You have reserved in heaven for us, “an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away” (1 Peter 1:4; NASB). Furthermore it says; You have prepared for those who love You, “what no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined” (1 Corinthians 2:9; ESV).
If, You, O Lord, could open our spiritual eyes
If, You O Lord, could open our spiritual eyes, just to catch a glimpse of the blessings You’ve reserved for us in heaven, we’d be amazed and ashamed! Amazed, because the blessings You’ve reserved for us in the life to come, will certainly be beyond our wildest imaginations! Ashamed, because we really can’t fully grasped how deeply You love us and want Your very best for us! O dear Lord, how can we thank You for Your good thoughts toward us! Expressing his awe of Your wonders, David said: “You have multiplied, O LORD my God, your wondrous deeds and your thoughts toward us; none can compare with you” (Psalm 40:5; ESV)!
Dear and Dependable Father, we affirm that none can compare with You
Indeed, Dear and Dependable Father, we affirm that none can compare with You. “You are the LORD Most High over all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods” (Psalm 97:9; NASB). Truly, “there is no one like You among the gods, O LORD, nor are there any works like Yours” (Psalm 86:8; NASB). You are in a distinguished class all by Yourself. “Who is like You, majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders” (Exodus 15:11b; NASB)? Yes, “great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; [You are] to be feared above all gods” (1 Chronicles 16:25; cf. Psalm 96:4; NASB).
LORD, You are so dependable
Certainly, LORD, You are so dependable. You are indeed our Rock. While so much has changed in our lives up to date, You have been a dependable Rock for us. Unchanging! Unwavering in Your love for us and commitment to us! Yes, You are so dependable that in times of crisis, we can boldly approach Your throne of grace. And, yes, we will find mercy to help us in a time of need (see Hebrews 4:16). Indeed, King Jehoshaphat found You to be a Reliable Rock while facing powerful foes and forces. As such, he prayed earnestly to You. Indeed, on that day of great need and distress, he poured out his heart to You. He prayed: “O LORD, the God of our fathers, are You not God in the heavens? And are You not ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations? Power and might are in Your hand so that no one can stand against You” (2 Chronicles 20:6; NASB). Because Jehoshaphat wholeheartedly depended on You in his battle against his enemies, You soundly defeated them. You made a name for Yourself as a dependable God till this very day.
You are the ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations
Yes, indeed! You are the ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations. You are God in the heavens. Truly, we declare today that power and might are in Your hand. Absolutely, no one can stand against You. No one can derail Your purpose for Your people. Yes, no one can defeat Your divine plans for Your believing children. No! Never! Your purpose must prevail for Your people. Indeed, Your divine plans for Your believing children must prosper and progress, not putter around and pause.
Dear and Dependable Father, power and might are in Your hand
Since, Dear and Dependable Father, power and might are in Your hand, we dedicate November 2025 to You. Please accomplish what concerns our families, friends, and us. Be pleased “O God of Israel,” to bring to pass all Your best and blessed benefits for the nation of Israel – Your chosen people. Also, Lord of lords, carry out Your caring and compassionate counsels for Your Church – Your consecrated people. As well, Ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations, discharge Your divine duties and desires for Your world. A world, that’s made up of all the countries and coastlands You created under the heavens.
Your people Israel, desperately needs You
O God of Israel, Your people Israel, desperately needs You in such a time as this! When You brought Israel out of Egyptian bondage, You carefully spelled out to them what You require of them. Through Your prophet Moses, You set before them what You expected of the nation throughout their existence on earth. “Now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require from you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to keep the LORD’s commandments which I am commanding you today for your good” (Deuteronomy 10:12-13; NASB)!
We pray that present Israel will give You
Therefore, we pray that present Israel will give You the holy reverence and healthy respect You deserve as their Father. May Your Spirit restore the fear of the Lord in their hearts as in the days of old (see 2 Chronicles 19:7, 9)! May Your Spirit inculcate in them a high regard of You to hate evil and keep away from evil (see Proverbs 8:13; 16:6)! As well, we pray that Your Spirit will give a fresh desire to Israel today. That is, the desire to walk in all Your ways and love You their Father and Founder of their nation. Also, may Your Spirit enable them to serve You with all their heart and with all their soul, in such a time as this! Since “to obey is better than sacrifice,” (1 Samuel 15:22b; NASB), grant that Israel will choose to obey Your voice. All for their good!
Dear and Dependable Father, the nation of Israel is experiencing distress today
Dear and Dependable Father, the nation of Israel is experiencing distress today, due to their conflicts with their enemies. You promised Your exiled people in Babylon that You would save them in “the time of Jacob’s distress” (Jeremiah 30:7). Although Israel’s distress now pales in comparison to their distress then, and to their future great distress, they need Your intervention. Sadly, Israel is not crying out to You in their distress with confident expectation that You’ll hear and deliver them (see 2 Chronicles 20:9). Rather, present Israel is only committed to combating their enemies in their own strength and power. Oh that Israel would cry out to You in their distress today! You would cause their enemies to fight among themselves and destroy themselves, even before they come to the battle field.
You did this very thing for King Jehoshaphat
In fact, You did this very thing for King Jehoshaphat and all Judah, when they cried out to You in their distress. As they obeyed and praised You, You caused the enemy forces that came against them to fight against one another (see 2 Chronicles 20:20-23). The result was that “they helped to destroy one another” (2 Chronicles 20:23b; NASB). O Lord, Your word reminds us that what happened to Your people in the past “happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction” (1 Corinthians 10:11a; NASB). Instead of Israel learning from the example of King Jehoshaphat, they are flexing their “military muscles.” Sadly, as You know very well, this has not brought them relief and rest from their distress.
It has only brought death and destruction
Indeed, it has only brought death and destruction! O that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would call a fast for all Israel! For Israel to come before You in all humility! And cry out to You in their distress! You would bring Israel relief and rest from their conflicts, even as You did for Jehoshaphat and all Judah. In fact, the Bible records Your work of bringing relief and rest for King Jehoshaphat in these refreshing words. “And the dread of God was on all the kingdoms of the lands when they heard that the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel. So the kingdom of Jehoshaphat was at peace, for his God gave him rest on all sides” (2 Chronicles 20:29-30; NASB)! What a blessing awaiting present Israel, if only they too, would humble themselves before the Lord their God!
Dear and Dependable Father, we pray for Your Church
And now, Dear and Dependable Father, we pray for Your Church. We thank You for all You’ve done in the building of Your Church till this very month, November 2025. Had it not been Your diligent and dedicated efforts in building Your Church, she would’ve faded and failed in her witness! To You, O Lord, be all the glory for Your commitment to Your divine work of building [“Your] church, and the gates of Hades will not overpower it” (Matthew 16:18; NASB). When we began the year 2025, we did not know what You had in store for our lives in it. One thing we knew for certain was that Your ways are not our ways and that You do what You please (see Psalms 115:3).
Lord, as we look back
Lord, as we look back over the last ten months, we are reminded that You are working. Indeed, when our lives seemed out of control, because of the trials and troubles we encountered, You did not abandon Your Church. No! Not at all! Indeed, You did not fail us or forsake us! Rather, You were working Your plans for our lives. For Your promise to us is personal and precious. “For I know the plans that I have for you; declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11; NASB). Even, if You should allow further trials in our lives before this year ends, Your plans for us will remain unchanged.
Life on earth is not “stormproof”
Therefore, Lord, since life on earth is not “stormproof,” help all Your believing children to build their lives on the Solid Rock (see Matthew 7:24-27). For it is only as we hear the words of Christ and heed them, shall we stand the storms of life. In fact, some of Your believing children are currently facing persecution in China, Iran, Indonesia, North Korea, Afghanistan and Nigeria. O Lord, we pray that Your Holy Spirit will sustain them in the midst of their persecutions. We pray that Your Spirit will also strengthen them to persevere in their persecutions. May Your Spirit surround them with Your warm and loving embrace – reminding them of Your unconditional love for them! As well, may You shield them from all the discouraging works of their chief-adversary, the devil (For more on praying effectively for Persecuted Believers, please click here).
Dear and Dependable Father, Your Church desperately needs Your gracious work
Dear and Dependable Father, Your Church desperately needs Your gracious work of reviving her in such a time as this. In times past, You brought revival in Your Church, when she saw her desperate need of You and surrendered to You. Please, may Your Spirit help Your Church today, to see our desperate need of You and surrender fully to You. We confess that we have become like the Church of Laodicea – self-sufficient. “Because you say, I am rich, and have become wealthy, and have need of nothing, and you do not know that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked…” (Revelation 3:17; NASB). O Father, today, not tomorrow, we humbly repent of our self-sufficient spirit. Yes, we sincerely acknowledge that we are wretched and miserable without You. And we are very grateful that revival comes from You. Therefore, we pray. “Will You not Yourself revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You” (Psalms 85:6; NASB)?
We pray for Your world
And now, Ruler over all the kingdoms of the nations, we pray for Your world – unbelievers of our day. Indeed, we are so thankful that You are “not wishing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9b; NASB). As well, we are grateful that You also give unbelievers time to repent as stated in Revelation 2:21. Therefore, we pray for the people of the world! Please grant that they will make the most of the time You have given them to repent. Because today is what they have. Tomorrow may not be theirs.
O Lord of the earth, grant that the people of the world may repent
O Lord of the earth, grant that the people of the world may repent of “the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk” (Revelation 9:20; NASB). May they not be like the people of the Great Tribulation! For “they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts” (Revelation 9:21; NASB; cf. Revelation 16:9, 11). Please Lord, give them the gift of repentance in this age of grace. For without You granting them “the repentance that leads to life” (Acts 11:18b; NASB), none of them will be able to repent. Let alone be saved!
Dear and Dependable Father, we pray
Also, Dear and Dependable Father, we pray that You deliver unbelievers from the deception of the devil. Indeed, deception has been the greatest scheme he employed against man ever since You created man (see Genesis 3:1-7). And deception is the scheme he is using today and will be utilizing at the end of the age (see Revelation 12:9; 13:14; 20:3, 8, 10). Moreover, he “has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:4; NASB).
Man cannot free himself
In fact, left to himself, man cannot free himself from the deceptive work of the great deceiver, the devil. Only You, O Lord, can release the people of the world from the deception of the devil. As a result of Your release, they are brought to the place of believing in the truth and being saved. Therefore, we pray to You today. Please, release many unbelievers today from the deception of the deceiver in order to believe in Jesus, and be saved!
Dear and Dependable Father, we thank You
Dear and Dependable Father, we thank You for being our dependable rock in a year of many challenges and crises. Moreover, You have been with us. You have been patient with us. And yes, You have been so good to us! As well, You have been so caring and compassionate to us! Your good hand has been upon our lives till this very day. When troubles and trials made our lives seemed out of control, You reminded us that You still have plans for us. Yes, “plans for welfare and not for evil, to give [us] a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11; ESV).
Dear and Dependable Father, receive our praise and thanks
Indeed, Dear and Dependable Father, receive our praise and thanks. May we, Your believing children, overflow in gratitude to You today and always! For, indeed, You deserve all the glory and honor, both now and forever more. As such, by faith, we join the twenty-four elders in declaring Your worth. “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created” (Revelation 4:11; NASB). We pray all this in the great and glorious name of Jesus, Your only Begotten Son, our only Blessed Savior. Amen!
