"Revelation is the last book of the Bible. The word "revelation" comes from the Greek word, "apokalupsis," which also means "an unveiling," "an uncovering," or "a disclosure." Revelation unveils or uncovers or discloses Jesus Christ in His matchless and magnificent glory. It reveals truths about the Lord Jesus and His final victory. While many Christians study this book to figure out God's prophetic calendar, the book is not so much about prophecy as it is about the Person of Jesus Christ, the Risen and Glorified Lord, who is revealed as being in control of human history, and who will bring history to an end exactly as He has predicted. In other words, believers primary concern should be getting to know the Person of Christ, not merely the prophecies. Without the Person of Christ, the prophecies will be meaningless. The vision in this Letter is more importantly about a person not a program. The Revelation of Jesus Christ is from Jesus and about Jesus. To miss that, is to miss the most basic and significant truth of this glorious book, which fittingly concluded the canon of Scripture. "Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus as He is revealed in His glory and splendor and know Him better, and make Him known," is our prayer!

Jesus in Revelation Chapter 1

  1. Jesus Christ is the Faithful Witness (1:4).
  2. Jesus Christ is the Firstborn from the dead (1:4).
  3. Jesus Christ is the Ruler of the kings of the earth (1:5).
  4. Jesus Christ loves believers and released them from their sins by His blood (1:5).
  5. Jesus Christ has made believers to be a kingdom, priests to His God and Father (1:6).
  6. Jesus Christ is worthy of glory forever and ever (1:6).
  7. Jesus Christ is coming again, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him (1:7).
  8. Jesus Christ's coming will be a time of mourning for all the people of the earth (1:7).
  9. Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega  (1:8).
  10. Jesus Christ is the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty (1:8).
  11. Jesus Christ, in His glorified and exalted state, is an awesome sight to behold (1:12-17).
  12. Jesus Christ is the First and the Last (1:17).
  13. Jesus Christ, in His glorified and exalted state is tender and compassionate to His servant (1:17).
  14. Jesus Christ is the Living One, who was dead, but is alive forevermore (1:18).
  15. Jesus Christ has the keys of death and of Hades (1:18).
  16. Jesus Christ, the Glorified and Exalted Lord, commands His servant with great authority to do what He desires to be done (1:19).
  17. Jesus Christ knows the past, present and future (1:19).

Jesus in Revelation Chapter 2

  1. Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord is the One who holds pastors or elders of local churches in His right hand (2:1).
  2. Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord  is the One walks in the middle of the local churches (2:1).
  3. Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord  intimately knows all about the life of believers in His local church ( 2:2).
  4. Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord commends His faithful followers (2:2-3, 6).
  5. Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord corrects His unfaithful followers and exhorts them to repent (2:4-5).
  6. Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord warns His sinning people of the consequences of their failure to repent (2:5).
  7. Jesus Christ calls on His believing people to listen to what the Spirit says to them (2:7).
  8. Jesus Christ promises to bless overcomers in His church (2:7).
  9. Jesus Christ, the Risen Lord is the First and the Last (2:8).
  10. Jesus Christ was dead, but has come to life (2:8).

  18. Jesus the Risen Lord has intimate knowledge of the spiritual climate of where His church resides (2:13).
  19. Jesus the Risen Lord is aware of where Satan sets up his base of operation and opposition against His people (2:13).
  20. Jesus the Risen Lord commends His faithful followers (2:13).
  21. Jesus the Glorious and Risen Lord corrects His unfaithful followers of their waywardness (2:14-15).
  22. Jesus the Risen Lord calls on His wayward people to repent and warns them of the consequences of an unrepentant spirit (2:16).
  23. Jesus the Risen Lord calls on believers to hear what the Spirit says to them (2:17).
  24. Jesus the Risen Lord promises to bless the overcomer with a new name which is known only to the overcomer who receives it (2:17).
  25. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord is the Son of God, whose eyes are like blazing fire and whose feet are like burnished bronze (2:18).
  26. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord knows all about the love, faith, service and perseverance of His believing followers (2:19).
  27. Jesus Christ commends His loving and loyal servants (2:19).
  28. Jesus Christ the Son of God corrects His wayward people of their waywardness (2:20).
  29. Jesus the Son of God gives time for people to repent of their sins and warns of judgment should they fail to repent (2:21-23).
  30. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord is the One who searches minds and hearts (2:23).
  31. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord is the One who repays each person according to his deeds (2:23).
  32. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord does not impose unnecessary burdens on His faithful and committed followers (2:24).
  33. Jesus Christ exhorts His true and tested believers to hold on to what they have until He comes (2:25).
  34. Jesus Christ promises that He is certainly coming again (2:25).
  35. Jesus Christ promises the believing and obedient overcomer His gift of authority and rule over the nations (2:26-27).
  36. Jesus Christ promises to give the victorious Christian the morning star- that is, participating in the rapture and experiencing the fullness of the Risen and Glorified Lord (2:8).
  37. Jesus Christ the Glorified Lord calls on the believer to hear what the Spirit says to the churches (2:29).

Jesus in Revelation Chapter 3

  1.  Jesus Christ is the One who, in the power of the Holy Spirit, controls churches and their messengers (3:1).
  2. Jesus Christ knows everything about His church (3:1).
  3.   Jesus Christ calls His church to a new zeal and commitment to His purposes (3:2).
  4. Jesus Christ knows His church falls short of her service and devotion and urges to wake up (3:2).
  5. Jesus Christ corrects His church and calls her to repentance (3:3).
  6. Jesus Christ cautions His church of His sudden and unexpected coming and dealing with her in judgment should she fail to repent of her deadness or lifelessness (3:3).
  7. Jesus Christ commends the faithful and godly in His church and promises that they will walk with Him in white, that is, share in His holiness and purity (3:4).
  8. Jesus Christ promises the overcomer, that is the true believer in Him that his name will not be erased from the book and life and will Himself acknowledge him before His Father and His angels (3:5).
  9. Jesus Christ calls on the believer to hear what the Spirit says to the churches (3:6).
  10. Jesus Christ the Glorified Lord is holy (3:7).
  11. Jesus Christ the Glorified Lord is true (3:7).
  12. Jesus Christ the Glorified Lord has the keys to salvation and blessing (3:7).
  13. Jesus Christ the Glorified Lord has sovereign authority to control entrance God's kingdom   He has uncontestable control in the affairs of the kingdom of God. (3:7).
  14. Jesus Christ the Glorified Lord knows His people and their deeds all too well (3:8).
  15. Jesus Christ the Glorified Lord gives opportunity for service to His faithful, committed, obedient, and persevering followers (3:8).
  16. Jesus the Risen Lord will humble pretenders to the faith before His genuine believers (3:9).
  17. Jesus the Risen Lord, in His sovereign will, chooses to preserve His obedient followers from the hour of trial or testing (3:10).
  18. Jesus the Risen Lord is coming quickly to take His church out of the hour of trial (3:11).
  19. Jesus the Risen Lord uses His soon and sure return to motivate His faithful followers to steadfast endurance (3:11).
  20. Jesus the Risen Lord promises the overcomer security and safety in the glorious presence of God the Father and will personally write three new names on him (3:12).
  21. Jesus the Risen Lord calls on the true believer to listen to what the Spirit says to the churches (3:13).
  22. Jesus Christ is the "Amen,"  that is, it is in the person of the Lord Jesus that all the promises of God  fulfilled(3:14).
  23. Jesus Christ is the "Faithful and True Witness," that is, He is the embodiment of faithfulness and truth. He is completely reliable, trustworthy, dependable and a perfect accurate witness to the truth of God (3:14).
  24. Jesus Christ is the Originator or Initiator of the creation of God (3:14).
  25. Jesus Christ knows His church all too well. He knows whether she is cold or hot for Him (3:15).
  26. Jesus Christ is sickened by self-deception and hypocrisy in His church and warns of spitting these "lukewarm" breed out of His mouth (3:16).
  27. Jesus Christ chastises His church for her pride, self-sufficiency, ignorance and complacency (3:17).
  28. Jesus Christ counsels His church as to how to obtain spiritual wholeness, vitality, and true spiritual vision (3:18).
  29. Jesus Christ rebukes and disciplines those whom He loves (3:19).
  30. Jesus Christ calls on His "lukewarm" church to repent of their pride, self-sufficient spirit, and complacency (3:19).
  31. Jesus Christ knocks and invites individuals within His church who hear His call to them to fellowship and  renew them Himself (3:20).
  32. Jesus Christ promises the overcoming believer the privilege of sitting with Him on His throne of glory  (3:21).
  33. Jesus Christ calls on the true Christian to listen to what the Spirit says to the churches (3:22).

Jesus in Revelation Chapter 4

  1. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord has a voice that sounds like a trumpet  (4:1).
  2. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord knows the future and is able to reveal to His servant what is to come (4:1).
  3. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord works through the Spirit to open His servant's to see the unseen God and Ruler of creation and glory (4:2-11).
  4. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord, though one in essence with God the Father and the God the Spirit, yet is clearly distinguishable from them in their personhood ( 4:3-7).
  5. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord like God the Father, is holy, holy, holy, the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come ( 4:8).
  6. Jesus Christ the Risen Lord like God the Father, is worthy of glory and thanks (4:9).

Jesus in Revelation Chapter 5

  1. Jesus Christ the Lord and Lamb alone is worthy to open the scroll and break its seals (5:1-5).
  2. Jesus Christ the Lord is the Lion of the tribe of Judah (5:5).
  3. Jesus Christ the Lord is the Root of David (5:5).
  4. Jesus Christ the Lord is the Triumphant One or Overcomer (5:5).
  5. Jesus Christ the Lord is the Lamb of God, though once slain is now standing-that is, is alive, having complete sovereign power and full of the Spirit of God (5:6).
  6. Jesus Christ the Lord, though one in essence with God the Father, yet is distinct in personality (5:7).

  8. Jesus Christ the Lamb of God alone is worthy to take the scroll and break its seals (5:9-10).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 6

  1. Jesus Christ the Lamb is the central figure in directing and bringing human history to an end (6:1ff.).
  2. Jesus Christ the Lamb is the One who opens the first seal which releases the false Christ to go out conquering (6:1-2).
  3. Jesus Christ the Lamb is the One who opens the second seal which results in war-God's judgment on the earth in the future Tribulation period (6:3-4).
  4. Jesus Christ the Lamb is the One who opens the third seal bringing severe famine on earth during the Tribulation (6:5-6).
  5. Jesus Christ the Lamb is the One who opens the fourth seal unleashing God's judgment through death by sword, famine, pestilence or plague, and by wild beasts of the earth (6:7-8).
  6. Jesus Christ the Lamb is the One who opens the fifth seal revealing under God's altar believers who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had obtained (6:9-11).

  5. Jesus Christ has sovereign authority in choosing those He desires to serve and share in His redemptive plan during the Tribulation period (7:4-8). [The 144, 000 redeemed Jews will be used as missionaries in leading many Jews and Gentiles to saving faith during the Tribulation.]
  6. Jesus Christ the Lamb will be the center of a multi-national praise of the redeemed people of God in heaven (7:9-10).
  7. Jesus Christ the Lamb and God the Father who sits on the throne are to sole source of the salvation of the redeemed (7:10).
  8. Jesus Christ the Lamb and God are deserving of worship from the holy angels, the redeemed and the cherubim (7:11).
  9. Jesus Christ the Lamb is worthy of praise and glory and wisdom and thanks and honor and power and might forever and ever (7:12).
  10. Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice made by means of  His precious blood is the basis of  the salvation of sinners in the Great Tribulation (7:13-14).
  11. Jesus Christ's atoning sacrifice made by means of His precious blood qualifies saved sinners in the Great Tribulation to stand in God's holy and heavenly presence and to serve Him, and secures God's protection over them and provision for them (7:12-13).

  4. Jesus Christ allows the lives of His witnesses to be taken only when their mission on earth is fully accomplished (11:7-10).
  5. Jesus Christ is the author of life (11:11).
  6. Jesus Christ permits His witnesses to be killed but receives them into His glorious heavenly presence (11:11-12).
  7. Jesus Christ is the One who always has the last laugh (11:12).
  8. Jesus Christ is the Victor in the battle against the enemies of God's people (11:11-14).
  9. Jesus Christ allows the holy angels to play a privileged part in His trumpet judgments in the great Tribulation (11:15).
  10. Jesus is the Lord's Christ [i.e. the Messiah] who will reign eternally (11:15).
  11. Jesus Christ who is God is worthy of worship (11:16).
  12. Jesus Christ is the Lord God the Almighty deserves to be thanked (11:17).
  13. Jesus Christ who is the Lord God the Almighty is and was (11:17).
  14. Jesus Christ reigns in great power (11:17).

  16. Jesus Christ has an appointed time for judging the dead (11:18).
  17. Jesus Christ has an appointed time for rewarding His servants (11:18).
  18. Jesus Christ has an appointed time for destroying those who destroy the earth (11:18).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 12

  1. Jesus Christ, the Male Child, born of the Woman (i.e., Israel) is the first target of the dragon (i.e., the devil) (12:1-4).
  2. Jesus Christ is destined to rule all the nations with a rod of iron, that is, His reign as King over the nations of the world (12:5).
  3. Jesus Christ ascended into heaven (12:5).
  4. Jesus Christ is victorious over the devil (12:5).
  5. Jesus Christ who is God will protect and preserve the nation of Israel from the attacks of Satan at  the mid-point of Tribulation (12:6).
  6. Jesus' holy angels led by Michael will soundly defeat Satan and his unholy angels in the war in heaven which is take place in the middle of the Tribulation (12:7-9).
  7. Jesus is God's Christ (12:10).
  8. Jesus Christ's authority will fully and finally be established in the defeat of Satan (12:10).
  9. Jesus Christ is the Lamb (12:11).
  10. Jesus' blood shed in His sacrificial death on the cross is the basis of overcoming the devil, the accuser of the redeemed people of God (12:11).
  11. Jesus Christ who is God will protect and preserve believing Israel against the fury and rage of Satan in the second-half of the Tribulation (12:13-17).
  12. Jesus' true followers who obey Him will be the target of Satan's rage in the Tribulation (12:17).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 13

  1. Jesus' archenemy, the devil, is a defeated foe who still puts on a show of being powerful (13:1-3).
  2. Jesus archenemy, Satan is an evil imitator of God and His ways (13:3).
  3. Jesus' chief-enemy desires to be worshiped as He is worshiped (13:4).
  4. Jesus' chief-enemy and his agents only speak against God (13:5-6).
  5. Jesus Christ is absolutely in control of His archenemy [Notice the fourfold repetition of the phrase, "was given to him," in verses 5 and 7. The expression is repeated twice in each verse. This clearly shows that Satan is on a leash. He is not free to do as he desires] (13:5-7).
  6. Jesus the Lamb of God has been slain from the foundation of the world (13:8).
  7. Jesus the Lamb died to purchase the salvation of those whom God had chosen to believe in eternity past (13:8).
  8. Jesus' death on the cross as the Lamb of God seals the redemption of God's elect, that is, their salvation can never be taken away, nor will the redeemed in the Tribulation worship the Antichrist (13:8).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 14

  1. Jesus Christ is the Lamb (14:1, 4).
  2. Jesus Christ the Lamb will return and plant His feet on Mount Zion, that is, the city of Jerusalem (14:1).
  3. Jesus Christ honors those who honor Him (14:1-5).
  4. Jesus Christ permits His holy angels to play a role in communicating His eternal gospel to those living on the earth in the Tribulation (14:6-19).
  5. Jesus Christ is to be revered (14:7).
  6. Jesus Christ deserves to be given glory (14:7).
  7. Jesus Christ is the Judge into whose hand the Father has committed all judgment (14:7).
  8. Jesus Christ is worthy of worship (14:7).
  9. Jesus Christ is the Creator (14:7).
  10. Jesus who is God, is the true object of faith (14:12).
  11. Jesus Christ is the Lord and dying in Him is blessedness (14:13).
  12. Jesus Christ is the glorious Son of Man (14:14).
  13. Jesus Christ is the Triumphant Conqueror over His enemies [Notice He is depicted here as wearing a golden crown, which is essentially the victor's crown.] (14:14).
  14. Jesus Christ, the Judge, into whose hand the Father has committed all judgment, does it through the agency of His holy angels (14:14-20).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 15

  1. Jesus Christ gives His holy angels the awesome privilege of partaking in the seven bowl judgments of the Tribulation (15:1).
  2. Jesus Christ who is God, knows when and how to bring His judgments against rebellious sinners to a close (15:1).
  3. Jesus Christ honors His victorious tribulation servants with the blessing of standing in His glorious presence to serve and sing to Him  (15:2-4).
  4. Jesus Christ the Lamb and God are one (15:3).
  5. Jesus Christ's works are great and marvelous (15:3).
  6. Jesus Christ is the Lord God, the Almighty (15:3).
  7. Jesus Christ's ways are righteous and true (15:3).
  8. Jesus Christ is the King of the nations or the ages (15:3).
  9. Jesus Christ the Lord is to be revered (15:4).
  10. Jesus Christ's name is to be magnified (15:4).
  11. Jesus Christ alone is holy (15:4).
  12. Jesus Christ is the ultimate object of worship for all the nations (15:4).
  13. Jesus Christ reveals His righteous acts of judgment (15:4).
  14. Jesus Christ knows when to finally and firmly close the door of opportunity for repentance (15:5-8).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 16

  1. Jesus Christ gives His holy angels the honor of sharing in His bowl judgments, which completes God's righteous judgment on rebellious sinners in the final stage of the Tribulation period (16:1-21).
  2. Jesus Christ is the Righteous One (16:5).
  3. Jesus Christ is the One who is and who was (16:5).
  4. Jesus Christ is the Holy One (16:5).
  5. Jesus Christ is the Judge (16:5).
  6. Jesus Christ avenges the blood of His servants (16:6).
  7. Jesus Christ is the Lord God.
  8. Jesus Christ is the Almighty, that is, One who has power over everything and is in total control (16:7).
  9. Jesus Christ's judgments are true and righteous (16:7).
  10. Jesus Christ the Lord of glory will not be given the honor He deserves by stubborn and rebellion sinners at the close of the Tribulation, thus sealing their eternal doom and damnation (16:8-11).
  11. Jesus Christ will providentially prepare the way for the battle of Armageddon through the pouring out of the sixth angel's bowl (16:12).
  12. Jesus Christ will face the armies of the whole world at the Battle of Armageddon, where He will utterly destroy them. Jesus Christ will overcome all His foes (16:13-16).
  13. Jesus Christ gives a word of hope to His tribulation saints, assuring them of a blessed future with Him and emphasizing the need for constant readiness for His return (16:15).
  14. Jesus Christ knows when to complete the work He has started (16:17-21).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 17

  1. Jesus Christ gives His holy angels a part in disclosing His future judgment on the world's false religious system (17:1-18).
  2. Jesus Christ will certainly the judge the world's false system of religion (17:1-8).
  3. Jesus' martyrs are not forgotten by Him. He will avenge their blood (17:6).
  4. Jesus Christ the Lamb will be victorious over the beast and the ten-kingdom empire which will wage war against Him upon His return to earth at the end of the Tribulation (17:7-14).
  5. Jesus Christ the Lamb is the Lord of lords (17:14).
  6. Jesus Christ the Lamb is the King of kings (17:14).
  7. Jesus Christ who is God, works behind the scenes in directing the hearts of the kings of the earth to give their kingdom to the beast in order to fulfill His word (17:17).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 18

Jesus Christ delegates His authority to His holy angels in the pronouncement and execution of His righteous judgment on the evil world commercial system of Babylon (18:1-24).

  1. Jesus Christ will not judge the tribulation saints with the unbelievers of the corrupt and evil world commercial system of Babylon (18:4).
  2. Jesus Christ will call His own to separate themselves from the evil and doomed world system before its complete destruction at the end of the Tribulation (18:4).
  3. Jesus Christ, who is God, remembers Babylon's sins and will judge her for them (18:5-8).
  4. Jesus' righteous judgment on Babylon will be proportionate to her deeds and her self-aggrandizement and lavish lifestyle (18:6-7).
  5. Jesus Christ the Lord who judges Babylon is strong (18:8).
  6. Jesus' righteous judgment on Babylon will be sudden and swift (18:10).
  7. Jesus' righteous judgment on Babylon's commercial establishment in the world, is One from which the riches of this world can never bring deliverance (18:11-19).
  8. Jesus Christ commands His redeemed people in heaven to rejoice over His judgment of Babylon (18:20).
  9. Jesus Christ will surely avenge the blood of His martyrs (18:21-24).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 19

  1. Jesus Christ who is God deserves to be praised (19:1).
  2. Jesus Christ's judgments are true and righteous (19:2).
  3. Jesus Christ is the Judge who judges the great harlot (19:2).
  4. Jesus Christ is the Avenger of the blood of His servants (19:2).
  5. Jesus Christ, the Lord God, the Almighty, reigns (19:6).
  6. Jesus Christ is the Lamb (19:7).
  7. Jesus the Lamb, has a day of marriage with His bride, that is, His church (19:7).
  8. Jesus' marriage supper is a blessing of the highest order for all those who are invited to attend (19:9).
  9. Jesus Christ who is indeed God, is the true object of worship, not an angel (19:10).
  10. Jesus Christ, His Person and work, is the true purpose of prophecy. In other words, Jesus Christ is the central theme of prophecy and preaching of the good news (19:10).
  11. Jesus Christ who ascended to heaven and had been seated at the Father's right hand, will indeed return as the Conquering and Victorious One to earth to put down His enemies and set up His kingdom (19:11).
  12. Jesus, the Coming and Conquering One is called Faithful and True (19:11).
  13. Jesus, the Coming and Victorious One is He who judges in righteousness (19:11).
  14. Jesus, the Coming and Conquering One is He who wages war in holy wrath against His enemies (19:11).
  15. Jesus, the Coming and Conquering One has eyes like a flame of fire, an expression which speaks of the penetrating power of His judgment. His judgments are always just and accurate (19:12).
  16. Jesus, the Conquering and Victorious One has many crowns on His head (19:12).
  17. Jesus, the Coming and Conquering One has a name on Him which is known to Him alone (19:12).
  18. Jesus, the Warrior is Victorious over His enemies (19:13).
  19. Jesus, the Coming and Conquering One is called "The Word of God" (19:13).
  20. Jesus, the Warrior and Conqueror, is the Commander-in-chief of the armies of heaven. [But please understand that the armies of heaven, presumably made up of the church, tribulation and OT believers are not following Christ to help Him fight in this epic battle. Christ does not need their help. He defeats His enemies single-handedly. They only follow Christ to reign and rule with Him after He defeats His foes.] (19:14).
  21. Jesus, the Warrior and Conqueror, will strike down the nations with a sharp sword (this symbolizes the power of His Word) which comes from His mouth on His return to earth at the end of the age (19:15).
  22. Jesus, the Coming and Conquering One is He who will rule the nations with a rod of iron (19:15).
  23. Jesus, the Coming and Conquering One is He who executes the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty on the rebellious and Christ-rejecting sinful humanity (19:15).
  24. Jesus, the Coming and Conquering One is the KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS (19:16).
  25. Jesus, the Coming and Conquering One is the Supreme Ruler of the universe (19:16).
  26. Jesus, the Supreme Ruler of the Universe allows His holy angel to share in His judgment on Christ-rejecting humanity at the end of the Tribulation (19:17-18).
  27. Jesus, the Warrior and Winner, will not engage in a war that takes forever to fight. His victory over His enemies at the end of the Tribulation is swift and decisive (19:19-21).
  28. Jesus Christ is the Victor and Conqueror over His enemies (19:21).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 20

  1. Jesus Christ gives His holy angels the privilege of sharing in His righteous judgment of His enemies, in this case, the devil, the dragon, the serpent of old, and Satan (20:1-3).
  2. Jesus Christ will reign for one thousand years on earth with resurrected believers [i.e.  tribulation believers and believers from both Old Testament and New Testament eras] after the restraint of Satan. This is the Millennial reign of Christ (20:4).
  3. Jesus Christ and God are One (20:6).
  4. Jesus Christ will reign for a thousand years with believers of all ages who have a part in the first resurrection. This is a blessed privilege for the redeemed people of God (20:6).
  5. Jesus Christ is the One on whose order Satan is restrained and released. In other words, Jesus Christ controls the devil. He has him on a leash (20:1-3, 7).
  6. Jesus Christ, the Conquering One, will decisively and definitely win the final battle against Satan and his assembled Christ-rejecting sinners at the end of His Millennial reign on earth (20:7-10).
  7. Jesus Christ is the Victor and Conqueror of Satan. He has the final word about the destiny and doom of the devil (20:10).
  8. Jesus Christ is the Supreme Judge of the universe into whose hand the Father has committed all judgment (cf. John 5:22, 29).  He is the One who will judge unbelievers of all ages at the Great White Throne Judgment, and pronounce their final destiny and doom (20:11-15).
  9. Jesus Christ's final judgment of unbelievers of all ages will result in their being banished into the lake of fire, where unholy trinity, that is, the devil and the beast (antichrist) and the false prophet (antichrist's associate) have already been thrown (20:10) to suffer eternal punishment (20:15).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 21

  1. Jesus  Christ will create a new universe to be the eternal dwelling place of all the redeemed people of God (21:1-4).
  2. Jesus Christ will dwell among His people in all His matchless glory (21:3-11).
  3. Jesus Christ is the One who makes it possible for believers to experience the ultimate fulfillment of the New Covenant promise (21:3).
  4. Jesus Christ will eternally remove sadness, or disappointment, or death, or mourning, or crying, or pain  from the lives of His redeemed people (21:4).
  5. Jesus Christ is the One who will make all things new (21:5).
  6. Jesus Christ always speaks truth which surely comes to pass (21:5).
  7. Jesus Christ always completes what He commences (21:6).
  8. Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End (21:6).
  9. Jesus Christ satisfies the spiritual hunger and thirst of the individual who earnestly seeks after Him (21:6).
  10. Jesus Christ offers salvation freely to everyone who believes in Him (21:6).
  11. Jesus Christ is the One who blesses the overcomer, [that is, one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God and places his or her full trust in Him for salvation] with total inheritance of His heavenly and eternal blessings (21:7).
  12. Jesus Christ is the One who blesses the overcomer with a new level of intimacy between Him and the overcomer (21:7).
  13. Jesus Christ will have nothing to do with Christ-rejecting sinners. He will banish them forever from His glorious presence into the lake of fire, a place of eternal torment and punishment (21:8).
  14. Jesus Christ permits His holy angels to share in the work of revealing His truth to His servant (21:9-27).
  15. Jesus Christ is the Lamb whose bride or wife is the New Jerusalem (21:9).
  16. Jesus Christ has in store for His redeemed people new and glorious things of indescribable beauty.  (21:10-27).
  17. Jesus Christ the Lamb and the Lord God the Almighty are one (21:22).
  18. Jesus Christ the Lamb and the Lord God the Almighty are themselves the temple of the New Jerusalem in the eternal state (21:22).
  19. Jesus Christ the Lamb is the Lamp of the New Jerusalem which has no need of the sun or of the moon, since God's presence literally fills the entire new heaven and new earth (21:23).
  20. Jesus Christ is the Lamb, and only those whose name are written in the Lamb's book of life will enjoy His blessed and glorious presence in the New Jerusalem (21:27).

Jesus in Revelation  Chapter 22

  1. Jesus Christ gives His angelic messengers the privilege of sharing in the revelation of His divine plans (22:1).
  2. Jesus Christ the Lamb and God are one, having a common throne (22:1-3).
  3. Jesus the Lamb and God are Distinct Persons, though they are one and share the same throne (22:3).
  4. Jesus Christ the Lamb and God will be the center of attention and attraction in the eternal state of the redeemed (22:3-4).
  5. Jesus Christ the Lamb, who is God, will be served and seen by believers of all ages in their eternal state of glory (22:3-4).
  6. Jesus' name will be on the foreheads of the redeemed people of God (22:4).
  7. Jesus Christ the Lord God is light. There will no longer be night in His bright and brilliant presence. Neither will there be a need for the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun (22:5).
  8. Jesus Christ assures all that He is coming quickly (22:7, 12).
  9. Jesus Christ promises a special blessing for each believer who obeys the words of the prophecy of this book, specifically Revelation and generally the rest of Scripture (22:7).
  10. Jesus Christ who is God, is our true object of worship, not an angel (22:8-9).
  11. Jesus Christ is the One who will reward every person according to his work (22:12).
  12. Jesus Christ is the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End (22:13).
  13. Jesus Christ is the One who pronounces His blessing on redeemed and forgiven sinners on the basis of His shed blood as the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world (22:14).
  14. Jesus Christ is the One who gives the redeemed access to the tree of life and entrance into the New Jerusalem in the eternal state (22:14).
  15. Jesus Christ is the One who refuses Christ-rejecting sinful humanity, access into the New Jerusalem (22:15).
  16. Jesus Christ is the One who sends His angel to bear witness to His truth, especially as revealed in Revelation for the churches (22:16).
  17. Jesus Christ is "the Root and Descendant of David." This is an expression that establishes Jesus' Deity and Humanity. In other words, Jesus is the God-Man (22:16).
  18. Jesus Christ is the Bright Morning Star (22:16).
  19. Jesus Christ invites the spiritual thirsty soul to come to Him (22:17).
  20. Jesus Christ  freely offers salvation to everyone who desires to have his thirsty soul quenched (22:17).
  21. Jesus Christ warns of the danger of adding or taking away from the words of this prophecy (22:18-19).
  22. Jesus Christ Himself, who testifies to the truths of Revelation and for that matter the rest of Scripture, declares emphatically that He is coming quickly (22:20).
  23. Jesus Christ is the Lord (22:20-21).
  24. Jesus the Lord is the believer's source of grace (22:21).

  • Jesus Christ is the central figure in the Bible. He is the focus of all Scripture. To study the Bible without seeing Jesus as He is revealed in the Word of God and knowing Him in a deeper and more intimate way, is a failure of the purpose of true biblical study. We do not merely study the Bible just to get answers or facts. We study the Bible in order to grow in the grace and true, intimate, real, full knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. (2 Peter 3:18). As you study the Word, ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the Person of Jesus Christ to you. He will be so delighted to do that. This is because His chief work is to glorify Jesus (John 16:14). And what better way to glorify Christ our Lord than to reveal Him to us in our hearts!
