Good and Gracious Father, “from everlasting to everlasting, You are God” (Psalm 90:2b). In Your great goodness and grace, You have given us the breath of life for the month of November 2022. Truly, You are the “God, who gives life to all things” (1 Timothy 6:13b). Not only that, Your good hand has been upon our lives all throughout October 2022. In fact, had it not been Your good hand upon our lives, we would have crumbled under the trials and troubles that came our way in October 2022.

Gracious Father, You have been our dwelling place

Indeed, gracious Father, “You have been our dwelling place in all generations” (Psalm 90:1a). Your care and concern for us all throughout the years are beyond description. You assure us of Your unchanging and unconditional love for us. You bless us both spiritually and materially. For Your word says: “The LORD has been mindful of us; He will bless us; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. He will bless those who fear the LORD, the small together with the great” (Psalm 115:12-13).

Father, You comfort us

Not only that, Father, You comfort us in all our trials and tribulations. For Your word testifies to this truth. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God” (2 Corinthians 1:3-4).

Good Father, You deliver us from evil

Moreover, good Father, You deliver us from evil, both in the spiritual and physical realms. You extend Your lovingkindness to us. You also forgive us of our sins. For Your word declares: “If You, LORD should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with You, that You may be feared” (Psalm 130:3-4). You also guide us in paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (see Psalm 23:3). And You help us in keeping with Your promise: “I will help you” (Isaiah 41:13).

We choose to be still

Because of these blessings and more, living and loving Father, we choose to be still and know that You are God.  You will be exalted among the nations (see Psalm 46:10). Lord, we confess that we are living in difficult and desperate times. There is so much unrest in our world. Inflation has brought so much hardship on families all over the world. We desperately need Your divine intervention.

We humbly and honestly turn to You

As such, we humbly and honestly turn to You, Lord of our lives! By Your Spirit, we choose to be still in the midst of the storms of life. For we are confident that You are in control. In fact, all that will happen in November 2022 is known to You. We may be taken by surprise and shaken by the events that will unfold in November 2022. But Father, You will not be surprise nor shaken.

You are directing the course of human history

Indeed, as the Sovereign God of the universe, You are directing the course of human history. Not only that, You will bring it to an end exactly as You have predicted in Your word. You will never fail in this. In fact, all You have ordained from eternity for November 2022, will come to pass. No one, no power, no principality, no president, no prime minister, no pastor can thwart Your divine purposes for November 2022.

We eagerly expect to receive mercy

 Because of this truth, we confidently approach Your throne of grace.  Based on Your word, we eagerly expect to receive mercy and find grace to help in this time of need in our lives (see Hebrews 4:16). Heavenly Father, we gladly and gratefully commit November 2022 to You. Please accomplish what concerns our families, friends, fellow believers and us.

God of Israel, please carry out Your divine purposes for Israel

Also, God of Israel, please carry out Your divine purposes for Israel – Your chosen people, in November 2022. Furthermore, please, Lord of the Church, bring to pass all You have planned and purposed for Your Church – Your called out people. In addition, we earnestly implore You, Lord of lords, to perform all Your plans for Your world – made up of all the countries and peoples You have created under the heavens.

Father,…You have been so good to us

As the year of 2022 draws to a close, Father, we want to sincerely acknowledge that You have been so good to us. Indeed, You have also been gracious in all Your ways with us! Gentle with us! Generous to us!  Genuine in all Your dealings with us! Indeed, we give thanks to You for all the many blessings You’ve poured out into our lives in this year. You deserve all the thanks for the many good things You’ve done for us in this year that’s drawing to a close.

Gracious Father, we admit that life has been very hard for us

But gracious Father, we admit to You that life has been very hard for us in this year. Spiritually, we are in constant conflict with our adversary, the devil. This adversary of ours: “prowls about like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). It is of Him the Lord Jesus declared: “The thief comes only to steal, and to kill, and destroy” (John 10:10a). In other words, our spiritual foe has an agenda of destruction for us. He wants to thwart Your purposes for our lives.

Precious Father, thank You for Your promises of victory to us

“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57)! Also, precious Father, thank You for Your promises of victory to us. “The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet” (Romans 16:20). “Greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world” (1 John 4:4b). “Our God will fight for us” (Nehemiah 4:20b). “With him is only an arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles” (2 Chronicles 32:8a)! “Through God we shall do valiantly, and it is He who will tread down our adversaries” (Psalm 60:12). “The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to destroy the works of the devil” (1 John 3:8b). “They overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb, and because of the word of their testimony” (Revelation 12:11).

Abba Father, we confidently affirm that Your agenda for our lives will prevail

Because of these promises and more, Abba Father, we confidently affirm that Your agenda for our lives will prevail over Satan’s agenda. We bless You because You are the Victor. You are the Champion. Yes, You are the Conqueror in all our spiritual conflicts with our adversary, the devil.

Loving Father, You are the undefeated and undisputed Champion

In fact, loving Father, You are the undefeated and the undisputed Champion and Conqueror. We thank You for the victories You gave us in the past. We also thank You for the victories You are presently manifesting in our lives. And, we thank You ahead of time for the victories You have ordained for our tomorrows, till the end of time.

Please Lord, sanctify us in the truth

Despite the constant spiritual conflicts we encounter and the economic hardships we are experiencing, please Lord, sanctify us in the truth; Your word is truth (see John 17:17)! Shepherd us, for You are our Shepherd (see Psalm 23:1)! Strengthen us in You, for You are our strength (see Exodus 15:2)! Sustain us in these hard times! Support us; for Your word says You strongly support those whose heart is completely Yours (see 2 Chronicles 16:9b). Speak to us to encourage our burdened hearts!

Father, show us the way in which we should walk

Not only that, Father, show us the way in which we should walk and the thing that we should do (see Jeremiah 42:3) in such a time as this! As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so surround Your people from this time forth and forever (see Psalm 125:2)! Shield us and supernaturally protect us, even as You shielded and supernaturally protected Elisha the prophet (see 2 Kings 6:8-17)!  Send us Your special and supernatural help in all our personal struggles and economic hardships!

Heavenly Father, enable us by Your Holy Spirit to love You

Also, heavenly Father, enable us by Your Holy Spirit, to love You with all our heart, and with all our soul, and with all our mind (see Matthew 22:37). Love our neighbors as ourselves (see Matthew 22:39)! Live for Christ, who died and rose again on our behalf, and no longer live for ourselves (see 2 Corinthians 5:15)! Listen to Your voice and obey it! Learn at Your feet! Long evermore for You! Look to You in all our challenging circumstances and crises! Lean on You, our dependable Father! Please, empower us to lead unbelievers to personal saving faith in Jesus Christ, the Savior and Seeker of sinners, in such a time as this!

Lord, we desperately need Your divine intervention

As our world is in political turmoil – with nations warring against nations, Lord, we desperately need Your divine intervention. You alone have the perfect solution for the world’s problems. In fact, You are in control of human history on earth. And You will most assuredly bring it to an end, exactly as You have predicted in Your word.

Father,…accomplish Your purpose for the nations

As such, Father, we plead with You, accomplish Your purpose for the nations – beginning with Israel – Your inheritance. O Lord, arouse Yourself for Your Church in such a time as this! Avenge the blood of many Christians who are being persecuted in the nations (see Revelation 6:10)! “Arise, O LORD, and let Your enemies be scattered, and let those who hate You flee before You” (Numbers 10:35)!

Dear Father, we commit all these prayers…to You

Dear Father, we commit all these prayers and praises and petitions to You in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ! We believe that You are more than “able to do exceeding abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us” (Ephesians 3:20). To You, Father, “be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen” (Ephesians 3:21).
