By Joseph Ametepe
Keeper and Kind Father; we thank You for the blessing of entering the new month of November 2026. Truly, You have been our Keeper throughout October 2026 till this very day. And You have been so kind to us all throughout the beginning of this year till this day. Your word says: “He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD is your keeper; the LORD is your shade on your right hand” (Psalm 121:3b-6; NASB). Indeed, we gladly appreciate You for being our Keeper and keeping us in life. Moreover, we genuinely admire You for being so kind to us. In fact, Your word affirms that You Yourself are “kind to ungrateful and evil men” (Luke 6:35; NASB). That’s how special and significant Your kindness is to the people You created in Your own image!
We gratefully acknowledge Your constant care
Indeed, we gratefully acknowledge Your constant care for us and Your commitment to us. You are indeed, the One true God who wants Your very best for us; both in this life and in the life soon to come. Out of Your caring and loving heart, You bestowed upon us Your blessing of eternal salvation, through faith alone, in Christ alone. Of a truth, the blessing of eternal salvation, is not just for a select few, but for “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13; ESV). Your word made it clear that “there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing his riches on all who call on Him” (Romans 10:12; ESV)!
Eternity itself will not suffice for us to express our...gratitude
Truly, eternity itself will not suffice for us to express our heartfelt gratitude to You for all the riches You’ve generously bestowed on us. These riches include Your salvation. Sanctification. Supernatural strength. Security. Stability. Sonship. Success. Shield. Shelter. And strong support. These and many more, are riches money cannot buy for us. And yet, You’ve freely lavished them upon us through the selfless and sacrificial work of Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. Indeed, You did not spare Your own Son, but gave Him up for us all. How will You not also with Him graciously give us all things (see Romans 8:32)?
Keeper and Kind Father, You are the Greatest Giver
O Keeper and Kind Father, You are the Greatest Giver the world has ever known. You give and give and give! From the beginning of human history on earth, You have distinguished Yourself as the Greatest Giver. It was You who gave Adam and Eve every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of the earth and every green plant for food (see Genesis 1:29, 31). You, the LORD, brought Abram out of Ur of the Chaldeans, to give him a land to possess (see Genesis 15:7). Indeed, without Your giving, we cannot possess. It was You who promised to give Your people rest (see Exodus 33:14).
You give Your chosen servant-leader rest
Not only that, You give Your chosen servant-leader “rest on every side from all his enemies” (2 Samuel 7:1b; cf. 2 Samuel 7:11b; NASB). It is You who “give us this day our daily bread” (Matthew 6:11; NASB). You gave us Your only Begotten Son (see John 3:16). You’ve also given the Holy Spirit to those who obey You (see Acts 5:32). Speaking to the Lycaonians on their First Missionary Journey, Barnabas and Paul brought to their attention what You did for them.
He did not leave them without witness
“He did not leave them without witness, in that He did good and gave you rains, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness” (Acts 14:17; NASB). Also, apostle Paul confidently testified of You at the Areopagus in Athens as the One who “gives to all people life and breath and all things” (Acts 17:25; NASB). Not only that, You are the One “who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Corinthians 15:57; NASB).
But that's not all
But that’s not all. Your word makes it clear that You love to give good gifts to Your children who ask You. “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him” (Matthew 7:11; NASB)! Furthermore, Your word says: “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow” (James 1:17; NASB). Yes, You are the God who “gives a greater grace. Therefore it says, ‘God is opposed to the proud, but gives grace to the humble’” (James 4:6; NASB).
Keeper and Kind Father, You are
Best of all, Keeper and Kind Father, You are the One who has “given us eternal life” (1 John 5:11; NASB). Indeed, no one can match Your giving record since the beginning of time to this very day. Truly, You are a Generous Giver. A Gracious Giver. Yes, the Greatest Giver of all time. It’s certainly a great joy for You to give so generously and so graciously to us. Indeed, You take great pleasure in giving Your riches and blessings to Your beloved and believing children. That’s why our Lord Jesus could heartily say: “It is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35; NASB).
You are the Greatest Giver of all time
O Lord, because You are the Greatest Giver of all time, we commit our cause in November 2026 to You. Please accomplish what concerns our families, friends, and ourselves. As David, the king of Your people Israel, trusted You to accomplish what concerns him (see Psalm 138:8), so also, we’re trusting You to do for us. Indeed, You will not fail to accomplish what concerns us in the new month of November 2026. Also, “Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 30:15), bestow favor upon Israel – Your chosen and cherished people – according to all Your beautiful and bountiful blessings purposed for them. As well, Lord and Lover of the Church, continue to carry out to completion Your counsels and concerns for Your Church – Your consecrated and called-out people. “Lord of all the earth” (Joshua 3:11; NASB), deal graciously with Your world in the new month of November 2026!
O Holy One of Israel, we begin with Israel
O “Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 30:15), we begin with Israel - Your chosen and cherished people. In October 2026, we prayed that Your hand would be upon the Israeli Legislative election. We thank You for answering our prayer on behalf of Israel. In our prayer, we affirmed that “the lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD” (Proverbs 16:33; NASB). We also acknowledged that You are the One who removes a leader and raises up another (see Acts 13:22). Although, the turn out on election day (October 27, 2026) was historic; yet both major political blocs (Likud and Yashar) fell short of the 61 seats needed to form a government and become Israel’s next prime minister. Once the results are certified, forming the next government will take weeks (at least 4).
Keeper and Kind Father, You knew far ahead of time
O Keeper and Kind Father, You knew far ahead of time that forming the next government in Israel will take a while. And You also know ahead of time, who the Prime Minister will be. Therefore, we earnestly pray for the next Prime Minister of Israel (Benjamin Netanyahu or Gadi Eisenkot) and those in authority, to be guided by You! Specifically, we pray that they may be guided by You to administer justice in the land of Israel, in a way that honors You. This is because administering justice is Your purpose for establishing human governments (see Romans 13:3-4; cf. 1 Peter 2:13-14).
We pray for the Prime Minister of Israel
As well, we pray for the Prime Minister of Israel and his ministers to preserve the ways of justice rather than pervert them. Proverbs 17:23 says: “A wicked man receives a bribe from the bosom to pervert the ways of justice.” Your word also reveals the evil that a bribe does. It blinds the eyes of the wise (see Deuteronomy 16:19). A bribe is a charm in the sight of its owner; wherever he turns, he prospers (see Proverbs 17:8). A bribe also corrupts the heart (see Ecclesiastes 7:7). In the light of these truths and the lure of bribery, we pray against bribery that will lead to the perversion of justice in the government of Israel.
Holy One of Israel, be pleased to work through the government
Also, Holy One of Israel (Isaiah 30:15), be pleased to work through the government of Israel, even through those who do not know You personally. King Cyrus did not know You personally, and yet You stirred up his spirit to do what You had prophesied concerning Your people Israel (see Isaiah 46:1-6). Because You have not changed, we confidently pray to You to work through Israel’s leaders and rulers today to advance Your purpose for Your people Israel. Your word declares: “The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes” (Proverbs 21:1; NASB).
Keeper and Kind Father, we lift up Your Church to You
And now, Keeper and Kind Father, we lift up Your Church to You in prayer. We give You all the glory and honor for Your supreme goal for Your Church. Indeed, You love Your Church with unconditional and undying love. Your love seeks Your very best for her, not only in this life; but also in the life to come. Your supreme goal: “that we would be holy and blameless before [You]” (Ephesians 1:4b; NASB), and “become conformed into the image [Your] Son” (Romans 8:29; NASB), is a goal we would never have purposed for our lives. Oh, how we bless You for always desiring and doing Your very best for us - Your Church!
We rejoice and bless You
While we rejoice and bless You for always desiring and doing Your very best for us, we’re well aware that Your Church is not perfect. We are not there yet. As such, we desperately need Your special and supernatural working on our behalf to attain Your goal. So, we - Your Church, choose to yield to Your Spirit to do Your special and supernatural work in us. Please, Lord and Lover of the Church, do this work in our worship of You. As well as, in our walk with You and in our witness of You, in such a time as this.
We focus on the role of Your Church being Your witnesses
Particularly, we focus on the role of Your Church being Your “witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth” (Acts 1:8b; NASB). Throughout the history of Your Church, believers face persecution in fulfilling Your mandate of being Your witnesses. Our Lord Jesus Himself, the Bridegroom and the Builder of the Church, solemnly predicted this. “They will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of Me” (Matthew 24:9; NASB). Indeed, since the beginning of Your Church, she has been hunted down and hated by a hostile world in which she is Your witness.
Keeper and Kind Father, we...pray
As such, Keeper and Kind Father, we want to pray for Your Persecuted Church to be strengthened and sustained by You. Yes, to be strengthened and sustained by You, our Lord; to fulfill her mandate in our time. Therefore, we pray for all our persecuted believing brothers and sisters suffering for the cause of the gospel in all the nations. We pray that, through the working of Your Spirit, they will “suffer for the gospel according to the power of God” (2 Timothy 1:8; NASB). Thank You, Lord, that Your power is available to strengthen and sustain each persecuted believer in Jesus Christ. Indeed, suffering for the gospel in our own feeble and fleshly power, will not only be a defeat for us, but a delight for the adversary of our souls.
Father, we ask
Also, Father, we ask that through Your Spirit, Your Persecuted Church will be empowered to suffer hardship as good soldiers of Jesus Christ (see 2 Timothy 2:3). O Lord, be pleased to rescue them out of all the persecutions they’re enduring, even as You did it for Paul (see 2 Timothy 3:11). As well, we earnestly beseech You to stand with them and strengthen them in their persecutions, even as You did it for Paul (see 2 Timothy 4:17). Also, we ask that Your Spirit will enable them to “endure all things for the sake of those who are chosen, so that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus and with it eternal glory” (2 Timothy 2:10; NASB).
Please, help them understand
Please, help them understand that, like Paul, their call to suffer for Christ’s sake is for the salvation of others. In other words, their suffering for the cause of Christ will not be in vain. Rather, it will bring about the blessing of salvation for those You have chosen to obtain it.
And now Lord, we pray
And now Lord, we pray that as Your word is proclaimed, it “will spread [literally, run] rapidly and be glorified” (2 Thessalonians 3:1b; NASB). Also, we ask that You rescue Your messengers and missionaries “from perverse and evil men, for not all have faith” (2 Thessalonians 3:2; NASB). As well, we pray that You will “strengthen and protect [them] from the evil one” (2 Thessalonians 3:3; NASB). Thank You, Lord, for being faithful (see 2 Thessalonians 3:3a). In Your faithfulness, You preserve and protect Your messengers and missionaries who share and spread the good news of Jesus Christ.
We pray
However, in Your sovereignty, You sometimes permit some of Your messengers and missionaries to pay the ultimate price in their witness of You (see Acts 7:54-60; 12:1-2; Revelation 2:13). In such a case, we pray that You will grant them Your supernatural strength to endure to the end. In other words, we solemnly pray that they will be faithful until death, and receive the crown of life (see Revelation 2:10).
Lord of all the earth, we pray for Your world
And now, “O Lord of all the earth” (Joshua 3:11; NASB), we pray for Your world. Indeed, we are glad and grateful that Your Son declared: “I did not come to judge the world but to save the world” (John 12:47; ESV). He came into the world as light, so that whoever believes in Him may not remain in darkness (see John 12:46). Through apostle Paul, You affirmed in Your word that our Lord’s goal in coming to our world is to save sinners. “It is a trustworthy statement, deserving full assurance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all” (1 Timothy 1:16; NASB). Furthermore, Your word speaks of You as One “who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4; NASB).
Keeper and Kind Father...we are praying according to Your will
Therefore, Keeper and Kind Father, when we pray for the salvation of sinners in Your world, we are praying according to Your will. Therefore, we are confident that You will hear us. And if we know that You hear us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from You (see 1 John 5:15). Please, we earnestly pray for their salvation in this age of grace. Please, grant that the unbelievers in Your world today, will receive the love of the truth, so as to be saved. For if they do not receive the love of the truth, they will be deluded and perish in their sins (see 2 Thessalonians 2:10).
We beseech You
Also, we beseech You on behalf of the unbelievers in Your world. Please, grant they will believe the truth and not take pleasure in wickedness, lest Your deluding influence will come upon them to believe what’s false (see 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12). “O Lord of all the earth” (Joshua 3:11; NASB), grant that as many as You had appointed to eternal life would believe (see Acts 13:48b) and be saved. O Lord, show them mercy as You had shown Paul mercy (see 1 Timothy 1:13) and us! And please, O Lord, may they also find mercy before You, even as Paul found mercy before You and testified of it. “For this reason, I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example for those who would believe in Him for eternal life” (1 Timothy 1:16; NASB).
Keeper and Kind Father, we are so blessed to have You
Keeper and Kind Father; we are so blessed to have You as our loving and caring Father. You love us and care about all our needs. In fact, You exhort us to draw near with confidence to Your “throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:18; ESV). We’ve drawn near to Your throne grace, bringing the needs of Israel – Your chosen and cherished people. As well, we’ve drawn near to Your throne of grace with the needs of Your Church – Your consecrated and called-out believing children. Also, we’ve laid at Your throne of grace, the needs of unbelievers in Your world.
Keeper and Kind Father, grant that we may receive mercy
Keeper and Kind Father, grant “that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:18b; ESV). Indeed, Israel, Your Church, and all unbelievers in Your world; are in a time of need. We’re counting on You for Your timely help to meet the needs we’ve brought to Your throne of grace. Thank You, Lord, that Your eyes are toward the righteous, and Your ears attend to their prayer (see 1 Peter 3:12b). We bless You for making “Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in [Christ]” (2 Corinthians 5:21; NASB). We pray all this, in the blessed and beloved name of Your only Begotten Son! Our only Blessed Savior. Amen!
